DISTRIBUTION PLATFORM

Kaleidovision's distribution platform has been developed specifically to handle the challenge of positioning and forwarding hundreds of thousands of media files through to thousands of sites and tracking all operations on a daily basis. The distribution platform is made up of a resilient set of servers hosted in London and local sets of distribution servers hosted within some customers' own networks. The system automatically identifies the content that is to be distributed and seamlessly manages the update to the specific venues.

The players themselves run software which handles their own data transfer and bandwidth usage, making the entire system very flexible in terms of bandwidth shaping and timescales for updates. Using our online dashboard and a series of highly developed network management tools, we can also optimise the use of available bandwidth to deliver the content either during a given time window or at a pre-subscribed download rate. This minimises the impact on additional network services.

The entire network distribution system is managed centrally by Kaleidovision's advanced monitoring and reporting systems that proactively alert the Operations Team to any issues that may arise during the distribution process. This allows our support team to identify where any issues have occurred quickly, so they can be resolved as soon as possible.

All our systems have been developed to support high volume transactions, high data transfer and strong encryption, resulting in a distribution system with high levels of resilience and built-in security. Where systems are not able to be on-line, they may be updated via physical media sent direct to the sites.
