Kaleidovision has created the new X Factor visitor attraction at Madame Tussaud's London.
Our creative and technical teams have designed a compelling audition experience that gives Madame Tussaud's visitors a chance to find out how it feels to perform in front of the X Factor judges and a live studio audience.
Visitors enter the audition booth and are greeted by the voice of a live actor who plays the studio host and operates the attraction from behind one-way glass. He builds atmosphere and excitement by triggering the sounds of applause and laughter from a live studio audience - also using music beds, introductions and stings.
The participants see the Judges appearing on video screens inside the Attraction, and the live actor orchestrates a three-way conversation between himself playing the host, the participants, and the pre-recorded Judges asking questions and making comments. After the participants have performed their selected song, the tension mounts as they await the Judges' verdicts - nervously.
The whole experience is video recorded and the DVD can be purchased from the Madame Tussaud's store soon after leaving the Attraction.
Kaleidovision's creative and technical teams devised the attraction, working to a brief from Madame Tussaud's and X Factor Studios. The footage assets were pieced together and edited in-house, creating a bank of audio visual effects. Kaleidovision also managed the initial training of the Madame Tussaud's actors.
